Screw you guys, I'm going home.

Lemme see...

With Kazunori and Fumito on the same team, the game will take 10 years to develop. With Miyamoto having a say, it will be simplistic with retro sound effects and no story at all. It will, however, have 10 hours of cutscenes directed by Kojima. The main character has purple hair with a shop's supply of hair gel on it and 10 zippers plus 5 belts on his coat alone, courtesy of Nomura san.

This not good news for many gamers who buy used games, but to be fair, the devs have a point when it comes to online.

Buying a used game to play it offline is perfectly okay although the devs still don't get a penny from you. However, when you buy a used game, the devs gain nothing and yet they have to allow you to play on their online servers which costs them. I'm not sure how much online gaming servers cost though.

Oh and people game-share like ...

In terms of sales, Arcade is still ahead and by some distance. Xbox has a more active online userbase and Xbox's online functionality has been its killer feature.

In terms of quality, there can be no logical argument that PSN is as good, if not indeed better, than Xbox Live Arcade. For a couple of years now, quality games of all different genres have been making their way on to the PSN.

Azazel is an example of piss-poor design in gaming. Tekken 6 was a rather disappoing sequel to many hardcore fans of the game and Azazel was one reason for that.

Sony has been integral in popularizing Gamescom and this year Microsoft had its share too. Nintendo still doesn't care.

It would have been better if you did't tell us how you felt when you watched the ending of the game. Many people don't like to know how it ends, like whether the ending is happy, sad, epic, and/or retarded.

I hope you understand my point. :)

It won't happen anytime soon, if ever. I can bet my Clyde Frog on it.

This happens to many highly-anticipated games. The reasons are the same. The bad thing about these leaks is the new trend of lamers spoiling the fun for everyone else.

The kid certainly tries too hard to sound authentic and puts his simple points behind a wall of jargon.

His point is clear: Nintendo won because they brought something totally new (or disruptive innovation, as he calls it) to the market and targeted a different group, namely the non-gamers.

He misses many critical points here.

It was not the innovative part, but the marketing part combined with the simplicity of the device that attrac...

I can't disagree. But if you are a developer and you are pouring millions of dollars into a game, you want to make a profit, right?

Heavy Rain had a lot of publicity and hype, and it was considered to be a breakthrough in gaming. Still, it had its share of haters giving it 4/10. It sold 1.5 million units. Keep in mind that this was a high budget game with backing of a major publisher.

I think it's well-justified to assume that other games of this ...

He makes sense, but not entirely.

- Heavy Rain is a step forward in gaming. This sentiment was echoed by some respected game designers.

- The game is basically a moving, interactive story. A very interesting one indeed.

Now here's where he's not spot on:

- Some games are all about action, therefore, it's the action that matters and heavy story telling would be counter productive.

- Not a...

I like Dead Or Alive (played 4 on 360) but not as much as the ones I mentioned. DOA is similar to Tekken and Virtua Fighter, but it's lacking in the amount and complexity of the combos compared to Tekken. It's not as versatile.

What I dislike about DOA series, Tekken 6, and SC IV is their exaggerated emphasize on sex appeal.

- Length =/= content
- He fails to mention RTS games and simulation games most of which have objectives and can be completed.

Gran Turismo, anyone?

What makes a game a Zelda clone? What are the features?

No wonder Google is desperate to gain a foothold.

I wonder if this business is sustainable and whether there will be enough room for multiple competitors rather than a single dominant entity.

I don't know, maybe I'm part of a small minority, but Soul Calibur and Tekken and even the old Bloody Roar titles are my games of choice in this genre.

The difference here is that Capcom developed a really good Street Fighter game while Namco's latest sequels were rather disappointing, especially Tekken 6.

This Millionaire guy got it all wrong.

We dedicate so much of our time to gaming because we have fun with games, obviously far more than "casuals". That's why we spend much more time gaming.

"Not only do casual gamers have more fun gaming than us hardcore gamers; they seem to be a lot more relaxed."

What's the basis of this claim? Any statistics? I'm relaxed when I play games. In fact, games help me rela...
